BOSSANOVA CONSULTING GROUP SUPPORTS INNOVATIVE CAMP FOR TEEN WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
WASHINGTON, DC, June 29, 2006. BossaNova Consulting Group, Inc., a company that teaches extraordinary experts how to be extraordinary consultants, announced its participation as a panelist for Camp $tart-Up, an innovative camp for teenage girls with entrepreneurial aspirations.
Camp $tart-Up is sponsored by Independent Means Inc., the leading provider of programs and materials for girls' financial independence. Camp $tart-Up is a week-long retreat offering teen women (ages 14-19) fun, new friends, and a chance to learn how to translate their interests and dreams into enterprise and independence. Participants use the skills they learn and apply at Camp $tart-Up to take charge of their lives – in school, in business, and in the world.
BossaNova's President and Founder, Andrea Howe, joined three other successful women business owners for an interactive question and answer session with over 20 young women from around the country. The girls had just spent two days learning about all the components of a business plan. Questions posed were thought-provoking and diverse, ranging from "How do you market your business?" to "What's the biggest mistake you've made as a business owner?" and "How do you balance the demands of your work life and personal life?"
"It was an honor to talk candidly with the girls yesterday about the highs and lows of running your own business, and the benefits of daring to go after your dreams" said Andrea Howe. "I was inspired by their creativity, energy, and focus. It made me wish I had learned how to write a business plan when I was a teenager!"
